First of all.. This is probably my fault dating back 2 years ago, when I decided I'd rather get married and have kids then stay home and go to college.. But I don't regret any of it. Some info first: I just moved to Tacoma Wa. Big mistake in my opinion, and I had planned on going into the army and going active duty. Well that plan went bust because of some BS and MEPS comm messing up my chances of getting in until september. That was 2 months ago, and since then I have been unable to achieve employement, I'm mean NO WHERE! I've even applied at mc donalds so my wife and unborn girl could eat, nada. I've got 2 year exp running a hotel, and for some reason that can't get me a job. Besides all that, since I live in Tacoma/Spanaway area, I'm just wondering what my options are.. I sold my car, sold my computer(using a friends atm) sold most of my possesions and now I'm down to nothing but clothes.. I have till july 15th to get something concrete. BESIDES ALL MY COMPLAINING: Does anyone know of any kind of employment programs or something to do with housing, I'm a nice guy who is just really down on his luck. My wife signed up for TANF or something like that so she could get her medical.. and food stamps this month. And I have tried all the other services, seriously no one is taking GED's.. unless theres one I'm not aware of, then I'll do it. I'm willing to do ANYTHING.... Read More »
